Established in 1992, JCSS is registered under Societies Registration Act 1860 with registration number 1249/1998 on November 10, 1998. It is also registered as under:

  • Foreign Contribution Regulation Act 1976, with registration no. 136210075
  • Section 12A of Income Tax Exemption

Objectives

  • To work with communities who suffer the greatest distress, discrimination and marginalisation
  • To help the common people to increase their standard of living by making them aware on nutrition, reproductive health, and hygiene
  • To work with poor and marginalised people in eradicating poverty by overcoming the injustice and inequity
  • To attempt to influence state policies, laws and programmes, in favour of poor and marginalised communities
  • To provide the primary need of shelter, food ,emotional support and health care to the marginalised women/girls living under difficult conditions and who are without any social and economical support
  • To arrange for specific clinical, legal and other support for women/girls

Charitable Clinic

JCSS is running a charitable Ayurvedic clinic at Shaheed Nagar, Agra. Using Ayurvedic, Panchkarma and Indian traditional health systems, people are provided treatment to their ailments. JCSS sees the role of traditional healers as complimentary to modern medicine.
